Here is part 2 from our family vacation! Gosh, I want to be back on vacation so bad, and the fact that summer is almost over is making me so sad. We’re really going to soak up the sun for the next couple of weeks because this summer has felt like it has gone by wayyy too fast!
McCormick’s Creek 2020 | Part 1
Hi everyone! I have a couple of posts coming up from our family vacation to McCormick’s Creek in Indiana! McCormick’s Creek is a family tradition, and it is just the best! This year was amazing because everyone was able to go- 37 fun, cute, amazing people. We played in the pool, hung out, went to dinner, and so much more. My favorite part was getting to hang out with everyone and playing Spike Ball which is kinda like a mini volleyball game with a bouncy net and 4 players total. Also, playing with Georgia in the pool was just the best, and she did so well swimming in her puddle jumper. She LOVED jumping to me and Greg into the pool.
These pictures are from a night we went out to dinner. Afterwards we stopped for a treat at the yummiest ice cream shop that we stop at every year. Then, we went back to the hotel and all hung out outside well into the night. Georgia loved playing with all of her little cousins (they’re all the sweetest!), and one of her favorite parts was walking up and down the stairs at the side of the hotel.
Here are the posts from 2019 and 2018 !
P.S. Shoutout to my brother, Kevin- he took some of these fantastic pics!!
Seasons
Here is the last set of pictures from our vacation in Florida. These were from out last night on the beach, and I absolutely love them! We cooked out, walked to the shops, and watched the sunset with our toes in the sand. I can’t believe that it already feels like fall is here especially because the mornings and evenings have been cool. This morning I even had hot coffee instead of iced because it felt chilly! I do always get excited for each new season, though, because there is always something to look forward to. Next up is leaves, the pumpkin patch, and Georgia dressed up for her first Halloween!
What are you looking forward to most about fall?
Our Florida Vacation | Part 1
We just got back from Florida, and we had the best time! We stayed at the Barefoot Beach Club on Madeira Beach, and it was so beautiful. Our suite was brand new, and it felt exactly like a villa. It was decorated in the prettiest whites and blues, and just made us feel so relaxed. We also had a huge balcony that we started our mornings with coffee and breakfast and ended our nights with fun chats and drinks on. It was even big enough to do a workout on. In the morning, Georgia and I went out there, and she sat in her bouncy chair while I did my workout, and it was so cute watching her smile as I did lunges and squats.
Also, Georgia did so well on the plane! Georgia and I had a window seat, Greg sat in the middle, and Olivia was on the outside. On take off, I nursed her, and she fell asleep. She slept for most of the plane ride, and when she woke up she played with her toys, and I had bought her a new toy that was special for the plane ride that she loved! It was this little banana teether that was squishy and the perfect size. I have it linked down below.
These pictures are from our first couple of days. We loved soaking up the sun, splashing in the pool, and getting dressed up for dinner! This Italian restaurant that we went to on our second night there that my mom found was my favorite because they had chicken marsala, and that is one of my faves!

1 Day Until Florida!
We are heading to Florida tomorrow morning, and I could not be more excited! We are all packed up, and it is going to be Georgia’s first time on an airplane! I can’t wait to be on the beach and play in the pool with her and Greg. I kinda feel like we’re going on our honeymoon again especially because our matching suitcases that we got for our wedding are all packed up!
Also, I am so happy because this dress would not button up all the way 2 months ago. I was pretty much back down to my pre-pregnancy weight, and all of my clothes fit but this one dress. I did still have some toning that I needed to do for my abs, and I am so happy it fits again! I can tell BBG (Bikini Body Guide by Kayla Itsines) is paying off. I’ve been doing the BBG Stronger Program 5 times a week, and I weigh 2lbs less than what I did when I got pregnant. My goal now is to keep toning my stomach and really get some good ab definition going.
Anyway, that’s just a little update on our plans for the upcoming week and my workout routine/progress!
Snow Storm Hunters
Snow, snow, snow! I love snow. It just makes winter so pretty! This hunt started with the perfect duck hunting weather. It was chilly, but not too windy. We totally expected a really good hunt, but then all of a sudden, the snow started coming faster and faster. The visibility wasn’t great, but we did stay out for quite a while hoping that the snow would stop falling and that we could see some birds come in. They didn’t, but we had so much fun hanging out on the water even in the chilly temperatures!
My favorite part of this hunt was the blind that we hunted out of. We had to drive the boat out to the blind and we sat above right above the water. The best part of all was that the blind had a heater in it! We didn’t know that it would have a heater in it; so we didn’t have a lighter. Greg and our friend Pat played around with it, and Pat was able to get it to light using a battery and some paper towel. It was super cool and totally felt like Survivor or something lol. That really helped me stay out really long in the chilly weather which made Greg super happy! Hopefully, we’ll get one more kinda snowy hunt in before the season ends (but this time maybe we’ll see some birds)! 🙂
Lake Lure, NC Trip
This is our trip to North Carolina back in May! Greg and I needed a relaxing vacation right after I graduated, and this one was spontaneous and exactly what we needed. We went to North Carolina with our kayaks on top of our Ford Escape, and it was a twisty ride in those mountains with those on top of our car lol!
It was the first time I had ever seen the Smoky Mountains (or any mountains), and it was so beautiful, green, and different than anything I had ever experienced. We stayed in this nautical themed cabin that was just too cute for words! I honestly wished we could have taken the cabin home with us! We relaxed in the hot tub at night, fished and kayaked all day, took a bike ride, and even got in a round of mini golf (I think we tied ;). Lake Lure was the perfectly hidden vacation spot.
