Greg has been hunting every chance he gets! He wants to make sure that he gets all of his hunting in before sweet Georgia makes her arrival. This year, though, I have not been able to go with him as much. Wadding in water and being really pregnant is just too dangerous, but about a week ago I went with to do a field hunt! I was really excited because I love the quiet, early mornings and watching the sunrise with Greg. We stopped and got a donut and milk on our way to our spot, and then I stayed in the warm truck while he set up the decoys. Also, we thought that this would be a good day for me to go because it was in a field, so no water, and it was about 50 degrees out.
Anyway, Greg set up the blinds, and then I joined him and Jeff in the field. I was so happy to be outside and hunting with Greg, but I could not get comfortable in the blind lol, and the birds were not flying either. Greg, then, decided we should take a little break and see where they were. We got in the truck and drove to the water to see if they were there, but they were nowhere to be found! We drove back, and Greg and Jeff decided to pack up the decoys and call it a day. We think that the birds weren’t flying because it was the first warm day after so many cold days or something like that! It was a short hunt, but it felt so refreshing to be outside! It also made me really excited for all of the adventures to come!
Greg did go hunting today, and he had a successful hunt. He was so excited! I always love when he has a good day hunting because it makes him so happy which makes me so happy!
P.S. I love these pictures because I think it is so funny that I can’t get my hunting overalls to zip over my baby bump! 🙂
