Merry Christmas, everyone! Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are right around the corner, and we could not be more excited! We’re also really hoping we have our sweet baby girl before Christmas because it could be any day now, which is SUPER exciting! I just absolutely love this time of year, and it holds so many special memories for us. Greg and I got engaged on December 23, 2015, we both have birthdays during this time of year, and now Georgia will be born during Christmastime, too! There really is so much magic in the air.
This year, Greg and I decided to do a Christmas card. This was the first time I had ever sent Christmas cards, and I am so excited to have started the tradition. I I love getting Christmas cards and always have. As a kid, my mom would hang them up in our kitchen so we could see all of the holiday sparkle and warm wishes, and I have been hanging the ones that we get this year, too!
Taking these pictures was really really fun. I knew I wanted to wear a fancy holiday dress for them, and that we needed the perfect spot. We decided to drive to Wilmette when we were visiting my parents so that we could get the lakefront and the Bahai Temple in our photos. It was chilly, but Greg and I just cuddled extra close! Also, my parents came with to help us take them, and that made it even more fun! It was the perfect time of day, the sun was just setting over the water, and the beach was covered in ice crystals. So perfect for December!
For the cards, I used cardstore by American Greetings. All you have to do is choose your card, upload your pictures, write your messages, and include your addresses, and they address the envelopes for you, and send them out! They had so many pretty cards to choose from, and my favorite part was choosing our card and designing it. Also, I think it is so genius that you can just upload your address book, and then the cards are in the mail!
We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!
xoxo, Greg, Cassie, and baby Georgia (she’ll be here so soon!)
