These took me a while to post, but I had to share Georgia’s 2nd Easter! She loved her little chick that hopped and putting her Easter eggs in her basket!
Baby’s First Thanksgiving
These are our pictures from Thanksgiving! I know it’s late going up, but this is the last week before I graduate, and it’s been very busy with projects and papers.
I wanted to post these to remember Georgia’s first Thanksgiving! My mom made the most delicious dinner, and we had so much fun being together as a family. Georgia had some potatoes, turkey, and parsnips and carrots, and she even got to taste a little bit of whip cream jello! Greg, Georgia, and I also got to take our Thanksgiving picture at the park we have taken pictures at on Thanksgiving for the last 3 years! I feel so lucky and blessed to have such an amazing family, and to have my dream girl in my arms!
Here are our posts from previous years!
Gail’s Pumpkin Patch | 3 Little Pumpkins
I love that this has been a year of firsts- Georgia’s first Valentine’s Day, Fourth of July, summer vacation, and now her first trip to the pumpkin patch! It makes everything more exciting and magical. On our way to the pumpkin patch last year, all we did was talk about baby Georgia and how much fun it would be to have her with us next year! This was the time when having her in our arms was feeling so close, and now, she is pulling up to stand, laughing and giggling, has the BEST personality, and is the light of our lives.
We had the happiest day at the pumpkin patch, today. We got there just as it opened, and we picked out 3 perfect pumpkins. Georgia loved being outside in the fresh, fall air, and we just could not stop smiling! We ate yummy cinnamon rolls on the way home, and Georgia took a nap in the truck. We also decorated our front porch for fall and Halloween with our pumpkins, a hay bale, and mums. We actually went 3 different places for the mums. Gail’s Pumpkin Patch had them, but we thought they would get too windblown in the truck. Then, we went to the first Jewel, and they only had not so nice ones left. Next, we tried a gardening shop, but they were so overpriced! Finally, we went to the second Jewel, and they had 3 good ones left, so we bought them!
I always want to remember how cute Georgia looked in her pumpkin outfit and how perfectly she fit in our arms and how Greg and I were buckling her into the stroller together each putting one of her arms through the loops. I could relive this day over and over!
I think this is my favorite time of year!
P.S. We also vlogged today, too, so there will be a new YouTube video up this week!

Goo Goo Ga Ga Golf
Here are our pictures from golfing today! It was Georgia’s first time out on the golf course, and we all had the BEST time! There is a pretty quiet golf course near our house, and we had the whole place to ourselves. We played 9 holes, and it was so much fun! Georgia loved the breeze and the sunshine, and so did we! Also, I have to say she has a great putt lol- putting was definitely her favorite because we let her crawl on the really smooth, short grass. It was the cutest thing ever seeing her crawl towards the golf balls. This was probably one of my best days of golf ever! My drive was really good, and I was hitting my 6 iron super straight. Plus, I was with my two loves, and this will be a day that I remember forever because it was just that good.
We ended our night with bath time and snuggles, and Greg made steak and salmon for us for dinner. Now, we’re relaxing and watching the movie Hidden Figures.
We hope you're all having a great night, too!
8 Things for 8 Months
Georgia turned 8 months on August 29th, and I just cannot believe how fast the time has gone since she was born, and I wanted to share 8 things about her!
- She started crawling, and it is the cutest thing ever!!
- Her favorite foods are baby squash and yogurt, and she opens her mouth so good when I feed her baby food.
- She can splash in the bath and the pool with her hands and her feet! She LOVES the water!
- The other day she took her paci out, threw it down on the floor of the car, and started crying. Greg saw her do it lol, and I unbuckled to rescue it for her so she could have it back!
- One of her favorite tricks has always been blowing bubbles, and now she loves to gargle, too.
- She loves the song “Breaking Free” from High School Musical, and I can’t blame her- Troy Bolton and Gabriella are the best!
- She can ride in the seat of a cart and sit in a high chair in a restaurant, and I know she loves her new view of the world! It’s way better than just being in a carseat.
- Taking her toys and books out of the cubby and pulling the wipes out of the container is so much fun for her!
McCormick’s Creek 2019
We had the best time at McCormick’s Creek this year. I remember last year how I was just dreaming about getting to bring Georgia here fo the first time, and we were so excited to be on our first family vacation with her! She loved playing in the pool, and getting to see everyone everyday! She was splashing, and she LOVED the rubber duckies that my mom brought for her. It was the best soaking up the sun, being in the pool, and we even all had a race- Greg won and Livi was a close second lol.
While we were there we went to a winery. lt was the most beautiful night, and everyone had some wine, a grilled cheese, and we shared charcuterie! We also went to the Hilltop restaurant while we were there which is where the family picture was taken. We’ve been going to the Hilltop for forever, and I just love going there because we all had some fried chicken and mashed potatoes. So it’s some real comfort food with everyone we love!
Greg and I also loved getting to spend 4 full days together, and I love how going on vacation together always makes us feel so connected! One of my favorite parts was sharing a glass of wine together in our hotel room because it immediately reminded me of us being on our honeymoon. We can’t wait for our next trip!
Here is the link to last year’s trip when I was pregnant with Georgia!
A Summer Picnic & Fishing
These pictures are from our fishing picnic we went on last week. We decided to pack a lunch and spend the day fishing, and Greg even caught a bass! I definitely had one hooked, but the fish swam away. It was the perfect day, and I am so happy that summer is finally here. We have been loving getting out with Georgia, and I think her two favorite things about being outside are when the breeze blows and looking at the pretty, green leaves on all of the trees.
Also, for this fishing trip, we brought her stroller, but once we stopped walking and the stroller stopped rolling she wanted to be out of it. We went hiking at Starved Rock, though, and we used the baby carrier, and she was in heaven the whole time so we think that’s what we’re going to use on all of our little adventures now!
P.S. How cute is Georgia’s flamingo romper?! My sweet sister, Olivia, bought it for her, and it is the softest, cutest outfit ever!
Georgia is 5 Months!
Georgia is 5 months today! She has the shiniest eyes, loves to smile, and can roll all the way across the room! We have been having so much fun, and she loves story time and bath time. Princess Baby and You are New are her two favorites at the moment; we picked them out at the library. Georgia also loves to cuddle, and she has this new trick where she pulls her socks off. She can put her feet in her mouth, and her kick and play piano makes her smile and laugh! Also, when she gets a little mad, she blows bubbles like crazy. She also blows bubbles for fun ,though, too.
She tried baby food for the first time, and she did so well with it. She has had pureed pees and baby cereal. She likes to have her own spoon to hold, and I love how she just lets it drool out of her mouth sometimes lol. I’ve been sleeping on her floor because she would much rather sleep in her crib than in the pack-n-play in our room, and I love falling to sleep to the sound of her little breathes.
She makes our hearts so happy, and we really are living in baby bliss!
Georgia’s First Trip to the Zoo
We went to the zoo yesterday for Mother’s Day! It was Georgia’s first trip, and Lincoln Park Zoo looked so pretty! Afterwards, we went to my mom and dad’s for a Mother’s Day pizza party, and we also got to celebrate my mom’s birthday, which is tomorrow (I’ll have that post up soon, too)! We had the BEST day, and Georgia even got to go on the merry-go-round!
