- Georgia and I went to her first music class this week. It’s called Tiny Melodies, and it is the cutest thing ever! She loved clapping her hands, playing with the noisemaker sticks, and getting to touch the teacher’s ukulele. She also loved getting to say hi to the other little ones in class! We sang so many songs, and “If You’re Happy and You Know” it was our favorite!
- Since Georgia turned 1 she is definitely becoming a toddler- walking, talking, playing with her toys and baby doll. It is all soooo cute! She is so fun and has the best personality! Also, if you ask her a question, she always replies, “Yea!” in the sweetest, squeaky baby voice.
- She has pink converse, and anytime I put them on her feet she wants to buckle the velcro.
- She loves waiving hi and bye bye. When I wake her up in the morning and unzip her zip a dee zip, she immediately waves hi to me with both hands, and she gets so excited when Greg gets home from work!!
- She likes to sleep with 2 pacis because then there’s an extra one in her crib in case one falls out!
The Long Lost Christmas Card
I can’t believe our Christmas card even got delivered! I thought it was the long lost Christmas card, but it came in the mail today!!! It may be January, but I’m happy that they finally made their way through the mail!
I ordered Christmas cards on December 13, and they were supposed to be delivered December 18; just in time for Christmas. I used the same website that I used last year to make them and send them out, and last year the cards made it to their destination really quickly. Plus, I was so happy with how they turned out. I thought that it was going to be the same thing this year, but I was wrong.
December 18 came and went, and there was no card. I thought that maybe they were just running a little bit late and that they would at least make it to everyone before Christmas. Then, Christmas came, and they still weren’t delivered. Then, I thought, “ok, at least before New Years!” There were still no cards in sight. After that, I called the company and told them what happened. They said that it looked like the cards were sent out on their end, but they weren’t exactly sure what happened. They also told me that they were going to be closing down their website in 2 days. Obviously, something must have been going on with their business, but I also thought that was crazy because the website was owned by American Greetings, one of the biggest greeting card companies I’ve heard of.
They ended up issuing me a full refund, but I was still kinda sad that I would never get to see it because I have our Christmas card from last year in a frame as a Christmas decoration, and I was hoping to do the same with this one.
Well, they came today!! It may be January 11, but I am so happy they made it to their destinations! Christmas felt like it went way too fast anyway, and if it were up to me we would have Christmas all year round!
Georgia’s Winter Onederland!
Georgia is officially 1!!! We celebrated her birthday with family, yesterday, and it was so much fun! Her party theme was Winter Onederland, and she loved playing with everyone, opening presents, singing happy birthday, and eating her cupcake!
Her first year has been the best year of my life, and it has gone so fast! It feels like just a second ago we found out we were having a baby girl and popping pink confetti in our backyard. There have been so many times this year that I have replayed her birth in my head, or talked about what a special day that was with Greg. I am the luckiest girl in the world to get to be her momma.
We had so much fun celebrating. We blew up balloons and hung up her decorations the night before her party. We ate yummy food and shared lots of laughs. Also, how cute is Georgia’s little birthday hat that my mom got her!?!? And my sister, Georgia’s Auntie Livi ,made the most magical Winter Onederland cookies ever!!!- they’re so yummy, and they’re pretty much all I’ve eaten for the last 2 days lol.
Now, were off to play with baby dolls and puzzles and monkeys and stuffed animals and mini mouse phones and all the good 1 year old stuff!

Christmas Round-up!
Here is our Christmas round up! Some of these pictures are from our Christmas card shoot (which somehow the cards have still not been delivered even though they were sent out Dec. 19th…hopefully tomorrow lol!), Christmas eve, and Christmas day. It was Georgia’s first Christmas, and it was so much fun dressing up in matching Christmas jammies, unwrapping presents, and sharing dinner and dessert with family two nights in a row!
Also, Georgia is now taking two steps at a time, waving hi and bye bye with both hands, and she turns 1 in just 3 days!!!!
Baby’s First Thanksgiving
These are our pictures from Thanksgiving! I know it’s late going up, but this is the last week before I graduate, and it’s been very busy with projects and papers.
I wanted to post these to remember Georgia’s first Thanksgiving! My mom made the most delicious dinner, and we had so much fun being together as a family. Georgia had some potatoes, turkey, and parsnips and carrots, and she even got to taste a little bit of whip cream jello! Greg, Georgia, and I also got to take our Thanksgiving picture at the park we have taken pictures at on Thanksgiving for the last 3 years! I feel so lucky and blessed to have such an amazing family, and to have my dream girl in my arms!
Here are our posts from previous years!
Coding is Hard
I really would rather be editing pictures and writing a fun blog post! I have been working on the same coding assignment for my master’s for what seems like forever, and I still feel very lost. It’s super frustrating, and wow, coding is HARD! The good news is, I ordered my cap and gown tonight, and I will be done in a month! Anyway, I just had to share because I am waiting for my breakthrough moment to happen with this assignment lol.
Hope you’re all having a great night!
Halloween 2019| Our Little Lamby
I know Halloween was over a week ago, but I had to post these pictures! I started my last class for my master’s degree, and it has been a lot of work so that is why it took me so long to get around to posting these, but we had the absolute best Halloween! Greg and my brother, Kevin went out hunting in the morning, and then in the evening, our friends Pat and Michelle came over with their sweet baby, Ava, for a Halloween party. The girls looked so adorable in their costumes. Ava was the cutest, little pink dino and Georgia was a little lamby. Babies in Halloween costumes are just the cutest! We also had pizza, pumpkin pie, and Halloween candy (I ate so many KitKats lol), and Georgia wanted to hold a crinkly candy wrapper. It was just the best night. I also have some video from the day, and I will probably be posting that on YouTube within the next week!
I hope you all have a great weekend!
Love, Cassie
