Gail’s Pumpkin Patch & 10 Things | 2020
Here are the highlights from our annual trip to Gail’s Pumpkin Patch!
- Scooping corn kernels with Georgia in the little corny sand bin! She loved using the measuring cup to fill a bigger container.
- Getting to see Brownie the bunny who has the same bday as me!
- Georgia riding in the wagon while Greg pulled it in the pumpkin field, and it was even cuter after we picked the pumpkins- 4 orange pumpkins and a little baby pumpkin!
- Picking pumpkins- one for Georgia, one for Greg, one for Olivia, and one for me! I love that at this pumpkin patch you get to use the big clippers to pick your pumpkin.
- Georgia running and hugging us in the field and her adorable little laugh. She loves running free, and it is the BEST thing to watch!
- Seeing the 5th largest pumpkin in the state of Illinois! It was huge!! Here’s the link to the article on it- The 5th Largest Pumpkin in Illinois
- Watching Georgia drink her little apple sipper. They had little sippy cups shaped like an apple for the little ones, and Georgia was so happy when Olivia brought her one. It was sooo yummy, and Georgia kept saying mmmmm!
- Georgia almost spilling an entire water bottle on Greg because she didn’t want the cap on it.
- Posing for our pic by the Gail’s sign!
- Eating the BEST cinnamon rolls in the car on the way home. Seriously, they are so delicious- I ate 3 of them of yesterday lol!!
and here is our post from last year!
Wedding Shower Fun!
It has been a while since I posted a blog post, but I just had to share these pictures from my cousin Rob and his fiancé, Anneli’s wedding shower! It was such a great day with fun games, amazing desserts (the yummiest cookies, cupcakes, and brownies ever), and delicious food! I ate my cookie the second I sat down at the table lol. There was a wedding dress contest with toilet paper which was hilarious and a questionnaire about the bride and groom which was super cute!! I cannot wait for their wedding, and they are seriously the CUTEST couple!
Also, their shower was bringing back the best memories of when Greg and I were getting married! Gosh, I love love!
Here is the link to our wedding shower!
and also, you have to check out Anneli’s blog! It’s sooo good!! So many tips and tricks!

McCormick’s Creek 2020 | Part 2
Here is part 2 from our family vacation! Gosh, I want to be back on vacation so bad, and the fact that summer is almost over is making me so sad. We’re really going to soak up the sun for the next couple of weeks because this summer has felt like it has gone by wayyy too fast!
McCormick’s Creek 2020 | Part 1
Hi everyone! I have a couple of posts coming up from our family vacation to McCormick’s Creek in Indiana! McCormick’s Creek is a family tradition, and it is just the best! This year was amazing because everyone was able to go- 37 fun, cute, amazing people. We played in the pool, hung out, went to dinner, and so much more. My favorite part was getting to hang out with everyone and playing Spike Ball which is kinda like a mini volleyball game with a bouncy net and 4 players total. Also, playing with Georgia in the pool was just the best, and she did so well swimming in her puddle jumper. She LOVED jumping to me and Greg into the pool.
These pictures are from a night we went out to dinner. Afterwards we stopped for a treat at the yummiest ice cream shop that we stop at every year. Then, we went back to the hotel and all hung out outside well into the night. Georgia loved playing with all of her little cousins (they’re all the sweetest!), and one of her favorite parts was walking up and down the stairs at the side of the hotel.
Here are the posts from 2019 and 2018 !
P.S. Shoutout to my brother, Kevin- he took some of these fantastic pics!!
It’s Summertime!!!
This past weekend Georgia and I went over to Tim and Alison’s, and we had the BEST time! It was the perfect summer get together. Alison made the most beautiful charcuterie board, and Tim set up his bags set so that everyone could play! We all sat outside and just had so much fun! Gosh, I love summer!!!!
Pomp & Circumstance 2020
These pictures are from 2 weekends ago! We got to celebrate Mother’s Day and my mom’s birthday, and we celebrated Olivia and Kevin’s graduations a week early! Here are the pics from that day. It was so much fun, and we had yummy food and treats! Olivia seriously makes the BEST sugar cookies in the whole world!
I am so proud of Kevin and Olivia, and they are going to be the best additions and contributors to their chosen career paths! Here is a little Pomp and Circumstance for them!
Easter 2020
These took me a while to post, but I had to share Georgia’s 2nd Easter! She loved her little chick that hopped and putting her Easter eggs in her basket!
Just One Year Old Stuff
- Georgia and I went to her first music class this week. It’s called Tiny Melodies, and it is the cutest thing ever! She loved clapping her hands, playing with the noisemaker sticks, and getting to touch the teacher’s ukulele. She also loved getting to say hi to the other little ones in class! We sang so many songs, and “If You’re Happy and You Know” it was our favorite!
- Since Georgia turned 1 she is definitely becoming a toddler- walking, talking, playing with her toys and baby doll. It is all soooo cute! She is so fun and has the best personality! Also, if you ask her a question, she always replies, “Yea!” in the sweetest, squeaky baby voice.
- She has pink converse, and anytime I put them on her feet she wants to buckle the velcro.
- She loves waiving hi and bye bye. When I wake her up in the morning and unzip her zip a dee zip, she immediately waves hi to me with both hands, and she gets so excited when Greg gets home from work!!
- She likes to sleep with 2 pacis because then there’s an extra one in her crib in case one falls out!
The Long Lost Christmas Card
I can’t believe our Christmas card even got delivered! I thought it was the long lost Christmas card, but it came in the mail today!!! It may be January, but I’m happy that they finally made their way through the mail!
I ordered Christmas cards on December 13, and they were supposed to be delivered December 18; just in time for Christmas. I used the same website that I used last year to make them and send them out, and last year the cards made it to their destination really quickly. Plus, I was so happy with how they turned out. I thought that it was going to be the same thing this year, but I was wrong.
December 18 came and went, and there was no card. I thought that maybe they were just running a little bit late and that they would at least make it to everyone before Christmas. Then, Christmas came, and they still weren’t delivered. Then, I thought, “ok, at least before New Years!” There were still no cards in sight. After that, I called the company and told them what happened. They said that it looked like the cards were sent out on their end, but they weren’t exactly sure what happened. They also told me that they were going to be closing down their website in 2 days. Obviously, something must have been going on with their business, but I also thought that was crazy because the website was owned by American Greetings, one of the biggest greeting card companies I’ve heard of.
They ended up issuing me a full refund, but I was still kinda sad that I would never get to see it because I have our Christmas card from last year in a frame as a Christmas decoration, and I was hoping to do the same with this one.
Well, they came today!! It may be January 11, but I am so happy they made it to their destinations! Christmas felt like it went way too fast anyway, and if it were up to me we would have Christmas all year round!
